Treasurer and Controller

There are two chiefs under Chief Financial Officer.  They are treasurer and controller.
 Treasurer
 A treasurer is the person responsible for running the treasury of the firm. Treasurer is the watchdog of overall financial management of the firm and is working closely with other members of the management committee to safeguard the organization's finances. He is responsible to make plan and raise finance and have to establish relationship with bank and investors.
Functions of  Treasurer
  • Make plans and raise funds
  • Establish relationship with bank and investors
  • Short term financing
  • Financial Policy
  • Management of credit related activities
  • Decision making regarding the investment of capital expenditure
  • Arrangement of Insurance
  • Portfolio Management
  • Budgeting 
 Controller 
A controller is the person who is responsible for cost and financial accounting and who also handles the internal auditing. 

Functions of Controller 
Cost and Financial Accounting
Internal Auditing
Management of Tax related matters
Economic Analysis
Data Procession
